Water Sports

Since  Newaygo County has around 234 lakes and 356 miles of river, it is typical to see variety of water sports activities at the county’s waters. To mention some activities, the most usual are canoeing, kayaking, boating, fishing, and tubing. Other activities that are practiced by the outdoor lovers are surfing
(behind from a running speed boat), water skiing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, scuba diving (only in lakes), and any more. Also, fishing outdoors sport could be practice in winter by ice fishing.

All this list of lakes in Newaygo and some  parts of Croton Dam have beaches and/or place where people can enjoy the water by swimming.
