Purpose:

• The purpose of the Convention and Visitors Bureau is to advance the economy of Newaygo County through the promotion of tourism and recreation, while encouraging communication and cooperation among members.  We are a non-profit organization funded through annual membership fees, cooperative advertising, donations and grants.

Mission Statement:

• To promote the Newaygo County areas as an overnight destination and a day trip destination for a variety of guests.  Newaygo County has four seasons of recreation and relaxation located in the heart of West Michigan.

Your Membership Helps:

• to support vital promotional efforts to increase your business and that of other businesses in your community. Additionally, it helps purchase advertising in newspapers and magazines to inform potential visitors on where to obtain Newaygo County maps, camping information, resort brochures, trail maps, fishing guides, etc.  We mail brochures and maps to those requesting them, and pay postage to mail News Releases about seasonal activities and special events in Newaygo County. Your membership helps to build a better economy in Newaygo County.

Member Meetings:

• are held the third Monday of every month, at the Tourist Center, at 1p.m.; public invited. These meetings give you a voice in the way Newaygo County is promoted through your participation during the meetings.
