Pure Michigan

Governor Snyder has proposed a new budget at the State of the State Address that will fund Pure Michigan’s advertising campaign with $25 million. In 2009 a study showed that for every dollar spent on the campaign resulted in more than $2 in tax revenue for the state. According to George Zimmerman, Vice President of Travel Michigan, Pure Michigan received the most traffic of all 50 state tourism sites last year. With 13.1% of all traffic, Pure Michigan was the top most visited website of 2010.

As of now, for the quarterly ranking of the social media programs for all 50 state tourism offices, Pure Michigan is, for the seventh time in a row, number one.
